A cluster-level review meeting of urban local bodies (UlBs) for the districts of north Odisha zone, mainly pertaining to urban development, construction of houses and administrative management, was held recently.
UD Secretary G Vathathanan presided over the meeting. The executive officers of UlBs of Balswar, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur were present.
Stress was laid on the urban development, slum area housing and revenue collection etc.
Director Sangramjit Nayak, deputy director DP Mahapatra,SN Sahu , Baleswar district Collector Pramod Das , Mayurbhanj Collector Surendra Kumar Meena, JajpurCollector Ranjan Kumar Das, the PDs DRDA of the four districts participating in the discussion mentioned about the measures taken for all-round development of urban patches, rehabilitation of landless and construction of houses in the slum patches, implementation of different schemes under AMRUT yojna , collection of holding taxes, SBM effective implementation , management of Aahaar centres, hybrid toilet , composting plant construction, completion of uncompleted projects and infrastructure development etc.
The officials were asked to accelerate their works as only a few more months left for completion of the current financial year
