BJD MlA from Udala Trinath Soren and his friend Swarup Das have been booked for alleged gang-rape.A 38-year-old woman has lodged a complaint with the police to this incident.
Acting on the complaint, the Udala police have registered cases against the MlA and his aide. Soren, however, refuted the charges. “It is a conspiracy against me. The accusations are false and baseless,” Soren said. However, he claims to know the woman. According to the complaint, the incident took place on January 3 in the MlA’s residence at Udala in Mayurbhanj district.
The woman said a few months ago, she had given Rs 1 lakh to Soren for a Government job. As Soren failed to keep his promise, she asked him to return the money. When she repeatedly demanded the money, Soren called her to his residence to take her money back.
But instead of returning the money, the MlA and Swarup confined her in a room and raped her, the woman alleged in her complaint.
