Housing and Urban Development (H and UD) Secretary G Mathi Vathanan chairing a meeting here directed the department officials to expedite the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Brahmapur Municipal Corporation (BMC) and other urban areas.
Different proposed projects, which are going to be implemented, were discussed at the BMC office on Saturday.
H and UD Department Director Suresh Dalai, Deputy Secretary Susanta Kumar Mishra, Ganjam district Collector Prem Chandra Choudhury, DRDA PD Bijay Amrit Kulange, BMC Commissioner Nikhil Pawan Kalyan, Deputy Commissioner Sourendra Routray and other officials were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, Vathanan also directed the officials to take step to ensure the functioning of the Jaibali Pipeline Project by 2018.
He advised the officials to solve the obstacles in the PMAY project at the earliest and to eradicate various obstacles for implementation of the ODRP project.
