A two-day-long annual General Body meeting and election of the Utkal Chemists and Druggists Association (UCDA) were concluded here last week.
The event is a part of tri annual event of the UCDA which represents 20,000 chemists and druggists of Odisha. Affiliated to All India Organization of Chemists Organization (AIOCD) , it conducts elections of office bearers once in three years.
In the EC meeting, the annual report of the general secretary , the accounts of the last three financial years and the president's report were passed.President of the UCDA P Satyanarayana chaired the meeting. The other dignitaries who attended include general secretary Prasant Mohapatra, treasurer Ajay Goenka and the office bearers of the organization. Chief Election Officer Nirmal Kumar Mishra declared the procedures of the election in which 252 members cast their votes to elect their president and general secretary.
P Satyanarayana was elected as president and Prasanta Mohapatra as general secretary for the term 2022-25 .
An open session of the 51st Annual General Body meeting was also held at around 11.30 am in which president of AIOCD JS Shindhe graced the event as chief guest. The other notable dignitaries from AIOCD were , AIOCD general secretary Rajiv; organizing secretary Sandeep Nangia among others.
