A poetry book titled ‘Kabitanjali’ written in Odia by Jharkhand resident Kashinath Gouda was released at a special programme held at the Utkal Sammilani office here on Monday.
The meeting was organised to mark the 83 rd birthday of Sammilani’s former vice-president and former Minister late Raghunath Patnaik. Sammilani Bhubaneswar Branch president Bibhuti Mishra presided over the meeting where Sammilani’s Mancheswar Industrial Estate president Dillip Dashsharma released the book. “An Odia book published in a disjointed area is a matter of pride for us and Odia script,” said Dashsharma.
Sammilani general secretary Adwaita Patra, Bhubaneswar Branch vice-president Er Nirakar Mahalik, Biranchi Moharana and Parbati Nayak hightlighted about Raghunath Patnaik’s
love for Odia language and culture.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mancheswar Industrial Estate vice-president Shital Chandra Mohanty.
