The Utkal Sammilani has welcomed the State Government’s decision on Odia language by giving its nod to use the language in transaction of official businesses by implementing the Orissa Official language Act-1954.
In a Press statement, Sammilani Mancheswar Industrial Estate branch head Dillip Dashsharma said the Sammilani had hope only from the Naveen-led BJD Government for implementation of the language act and finally it got fulfilled.
“Under the leadership of Patnaik, many initiatives have been taken for protection and promotion of the language and culture of the State. Implementation of the language act will further develop the mother tongue,” said Dashsharma.
Thanking the Chief Minister for the decision, the Sammilani also reiterated its demand for immediate accordance of State anthem status to the patriotic song Bande Utkal Janani.
