The Utkal Bharat has fielded 59 Zilla Parishad candidates in 13 districts, including 23 in Mayurbhanj district, for the three-tier panchayat polls in the State.
Utkal Bharat president MA Kharabela Swain told reporters here that the party would fight the upcoming elections with ‘Ring’ symbol alone without making alliance.
“We have fielded candidates having integrity, honesty and impressive personality. They will fight for the genuine causes of the people, and we hope people will understand it and facilitate their victory,” Swain said.
During the last general elections, this regional outfit had formed an alliance with the Soumya Ranjan Patnaik-led Ama Odisha Party.
