The Utkal Bharat celebrated its 7th foundation day here on Monday.
Party president Kharabela Swain hoisted the national flag in the presence of party office-bearers and members. Swain called upon the party workers to work hard in order to make the party a strong opposition force for the ruling party. He dubbed the Congress as redundant and said it has lost its credibility to give competition as an opposition force. He further said the BJP seems to have close tie with the BJD Government.
The Utkal Bharat is determined to carry on its fight to stand as a major opposition party to the present Government. “We have to prepare ourselves to come to power in 2019 elections,” he said, exhorting the party cadres.
Party vice-president Benudhar Samanta, loknath Sarangi, Banajabasini Tripathy and Debashrita Mohanty were present, among others.
