After its talks with the BJP about an alliance or a seat sharing arrangement for the coming lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State failed, the Utkal Bharat party is now engaged in a discussion with the Aama Odisha Party (AOP) headed by Soumya Ranjan Patnaik for a seat sharing arrangement.
“It seems the BJP is not interested in an anti-BJD front. That’s why we are talking to the Aama Odisha Party for a seat sharing arrangement,” Utkal Bharat leader Benudhar Samal said. He said the talks have made ‘substantial’ progress and a formal announcement in this regard could be made at a joint press conference soon later.a
