Two youths went missing when they were taking bath along with their friends at the sea here on Friday afternoon. The missing youths were identified as Akash Khakka and Jadumani Sekhar Bachha.
The duo along with six others had come to Bhubaneswar from Bargarh to play a cricket tournament. But as there was no match on the day, they visited Puri to have a darshan of the holy Trinity.
later, all of them decided to bath in the sea near Chaitanya Chowk, but four of them went missing. lifeguards and ODRAF personnel rescued two of them while the two others were yet to be traced.
locals said that in the afternoon there were high waves and strong currents in the sea. While the youths went deep into the sea, two of them got swept away. This was the first such mishap in the New Year in the city.
