Two youths were killed when a passenger bus coming from Rajkanika collided with the motor-cycle they were riding on at Chunadiha near the Pattamundai SDPO office on Cuttack-Chandabali road on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Manoranjan Das (22) of Batipada and Aditya Ranjan Das (26) of Arua village, both are cousins. They were returning to their houses from Pattamundai when the accident took place. later, some locals staged a road blockade at Pohala Chowk demanding compensation to the deceased’s families. They withdrew the blockade when Sub-Collector Kanhu Charan Dhir provided a sum of Rs 10,000 to each of the deceased families from the district Red Cross fund.
