Five Maoists, including two female ultras surrendered before the Rourkela police on Monday. The surrendered Maoists were identified as Karan alias Suma Munda(25), of Karampada, Jharkhand, Rabi alias Dulai Chantia(20), Raju alias Johan Purty(22), Anita Naik alias Kamdi(18) and Surbali Naik(16) of Bhangaon, Jharkhand.
Karan, Rabi and Raju were carrying a cash reward of `1 lakh each on their head, said Bonei Sub Division Additional SP RB Panigrahi. According to Panigrahi the surrendered Maoists were working in Saranda Sub division along Odisha-Jharkhand border and they were being tortured. “All of them will be provided with all Government supports as per the provision,” Panigrahi added.
