In an unfortunate incident, two tourists drowned in the Puri sea while taking bath at noon on Saturday. The deceased’s bodies were fished out by local fishermen.
They were identified as Biswaji Bhattachargee (30) of Bolpur, Santiniketan, Kolkata and Suditpa Roy (28) of North 24 Parganas of West Bengal.
Yet in another incident, the Baliapanda police recovered the body of one Biswajit Kanwar of the Nayaganj College who had been missing from the sea at Krushna Prasad since October 11 while bathing.
The police informed the family members of the deceased about the tragedies and sent the bodies for postmortem to the District Headquarters Hospital here.
