Two rescued girl child beggars were handed over to the Paralakhemundi Child line here on Monday. The Palasa police of Andhra Pradesh had rescued the children from the Palasa railway station under the Operation Smile-2 drive one and a half month ago.
The Srikakulam Child line had handed over them to the Khordha Child Welfare Committee (CWC). When the committee came to know that the two kids are from Badapada village in Gajapati district, they sent them to the Paralakhemundi Child line.
“We would keep the children in the Child line until we know about their identities,” said Child line chairman Binod Chandra Jena.
