Two new Odia films Mu Eka Tumara and Hata Dhari Chalutha are scheduled to be released on Friday coinciding with the Raja festival while Ashok Samrat has hit the theatres long before the festival.
Mu Eka Tumara is a family drama with all the ingredients of entertainment thrown in into the movie. It has been beautifully presented by old and new stars of Ollywood. The film is produced under the banner of Sarthak Productions and will be released in 15 theatres across the State. The main attraction of the film is Sabyasachi, who is playing in the lead role of a physically-challenged person.
Ollywood hit pair Anubhav and Barsha will appear in Anubhav’s home production of Hata Dhari Chalutha. The film is directed by Chandi Parija and its music is rendered by Premanand. The movie is scheduled to be released in 80 theatres across the State.
Arindam-starrer Ashok Samrat may give a tough competition to these movies with some nail-biting action sequences and peppy music. The film is produced by Annapurna Entertainment and directed by Jyotee Dass with the music composed by Abhijit Mojumdar.
Daha Balunga, in which Babushaan and Sonia are in the lead roles with Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff in a negative role, may not be release during the Raja due to the fact that one of its producers is involved in the chit fund scam.
