Two new five-star hotels would come up in the twin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, informed Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI) president Tajinder Singh Walia here on Saturday.

The Haldiram Group and the Fortune Group would set up the hotels, Walia announced on the second day of the association’s golden jubilee event.

Of the two hotels, one would be set up in Bhubaneswar while the other would come up between Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

Gracing the second day of the jubilee celebration, Union Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Rajeev Pratap Rudy said there is a greater employment opportunity in the northeastern States, including Odisha if the youths of these States are provided with proper skill development training.

Referring to the human resource potential in Odisha, Rudy said Odisha is a virgin land in this context.

“The people of Odisha are sober, composed and have a craze for learning new things. Considering that the State has rich mineral resources, the Centre and the Prime Minister have given top priority on skill development training. The State Government has to keep pace with us and I hope it would fully cooperate with the Centre in this regard,” he added.

He said some of the areas which possibly can be found great potentiality in Odisha are construction, mining, infrastructure, retailer hospitality and even other sectors like automotive, healthcare and tourism.
