The State Tourism Department on Wednesday added two more religious places, including Gadadhar Gosain Pitha and Karteswar Mutt of Garadapur block in the district’s tourism map.
Notably, in January last, the district administration had written a letter to the Tourism Department to add the two religious places to the list of the district tourist sites.
The department in December 2012 had added two more places Sakhibata and Kudanagari in the list.
Notably, the Baladevjew temple of Kendrapada town, Bhitarkanika National Park in Rajnagar, Barahijew temple in Aul, Dadhibabanjew temple in Pattamundai, Shiva temple in Santhapura, Sakhibata in Marshaghai block and Kudanagari in Garadapur block were earlier placed in district tourism map.
With the current addition, the total number of spots in the district increased to nine. Meanwhile, official sources stated that plans are afoot to carry out developmental works in the recently added spots.
