The Commissionerate Police on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with the murder of contractor Dillip Nayak at Patrapada on the outskirts of the city on June 18.The accused are Joy Barik alias Upendra and Sisir Barik, both belong to Balanga in Puri district. Police sources said Joy and Sisir are the elder brother and nephew of main accused Raju Barik, respectively.
Upendra during interrogations reportedly told the police that a total of three rounds were fired at Dillip from two pistols. While two rounds hit Dillip, the third one missed him, police sources said.On June 21, police had arrested two persons Sarat Kumar Samantaray (50) and Surya Kanta Samantray (20) in connection with the murder. The two accused were associates of Raju Barik and present at the spot at the time of the murder.However, police are yet to nab mastermind of the murder, Raju Barik.
