Continuing its action against underperforming junior colleges, the State Government has decided to shut down two more Pulse Two colleges this year. “Two more junior colleges will be shut and show-cause notices have been served to three colleges for zero results in the Plus Two Science Examinations 2019,” stated the Council of Higher Secondary Examination (CHSE). Three colleges have been asked to submit their reports to the authorities within 7 days of the notice. Further action would be taken if the colleges fail to reply on time, a senior official in the School and Mass Education said.
Notably, four junior colleges, including one in Bhubaneswar, had been closed for poor infrastructure in 2018.
