State Drugs Control personnel, acting on a tip-off, sealed two medicine shops allegedly running without licences and hoarding expired medicines near the Biju Memorial Hospital at Paradip on Friday.
According to sources, the two shops were Mahaveer Medicine Shop and Maa Durga Medicine Shop. During the raid, the shop owners failed to furnish any document regarding legal permission for running the shops.It was also found that some banned medicines were stored in the shops.
The Drugs Control authorities, after sealing the shops, initiated legal action against their owners.
