A multidisciplinary health camp was organised for poor and underprivileged people of Rourkela at the Ispat Sanjibani Kalyan Chikitsalaya hereon Tuesday. The camp was organized by the CSR unit of the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in association with the Medical and Health Services Department.
The doctors of the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) examined 445 persons in the camp and dispensed free medicines. Besides, 16 persons were identified for free eye surgery under the project Sunayana, seven persons with hearing ailments were selected for treatment under the project Sushruti and another seven were identified for surgical interventions under the newly-launched Charak project.
All the interventions as well as the pre and post surgical facilities will be provided free of cost at the IGH.
