The Rajgangpur police on Wednesday arrested Vikash Aind (21) and forwarded him to court for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl at Kalokudar village in Sundargarh district. The police also arrested a cousin sister of the victim, Sarita Munda, for helping the accused in the kidnapping.
On April 9, Munda had taken the 16-year-old victim to the Jorumal area, two km from Rajgangpur. After reaching, Munda telephoned to Vikash and his mother Sedastine Aind. When both Vikash and his mother reached the place, Munda fled from the spot. Vikash’s younger brother was also present.later, Viksh took the girl to his relative's home at Thakurpali and raped her for three days. On Monday evening, he dropped the girl nearby her house. The girl narrated her ordeal before her parents, who on Wednesday lodged an FIR at the Rajgangpur police station.Police would soon arrest the younger brother and mother of the accused for their alleged involvement, said Rajgangpur police station IIC SK Sethi.
