The Cuttack Commissionerate Police on Wednesday claimed to have solved the kidnapping of a minor girl of the Ravenshaw Junior College here. The police said the 17-year-old girl, who went missing from the city on November 19, was rescued from an undisclosed place in Bhadrak district and two persons were arrested in this connection.
The police said the abductors, one Md Safiq of Baleswar district and his associate Sk Safiq of Bhadrak district, were arrested and they would be forwarded to court on Thursday. While Sk Safiq claims that he has married the girl in a court, the police were tightlipped about it as Safiq’s version was not yet confirmed.
