Police on Thursday arrested two persons for allegedly raping and impregnating a minor divyang (physically-disabled) girl at Katakhandi under the Bonai police limits of Sundargarh district.
The arrested persons were identified as Banu Naik and Banti Kisan of the same locality.
As per a police complaint lodged by the family members of the victim, the accused duo lured the girl in various ways and had physical relation with her for the last six months.
The matter came to the fore after the family of the girl came to know about her pregnancy. On the basis of the complaint lodged by them, the two accused were arrested by police.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
