Two persons went missing while taking bath in the Mahanadi here on Sunday morning.
According to reports, two persons, who had gone for bath in the river at the Gandhipalli Ghat here, slipped into deep waters and were swept away by the river current.
locals, present at the ghat, tried their best to rescue the duo but failed. Following information, a fire brigade team rushed to the spot.
Identities of the two missing persons were not yet known. The authorites are trying to establish the identities of the drowned people. The search operations were on till reports last came in.
