Bhagirathi Prusty, SI of Police and Balaram Rout, ASI of Police, both of the Beguniapada outpost under the Kodala police station in Ganjam district, were arrested by the Vigilance police for taking bribe of Rs4,000 on Thursday.
They were caught red-handed by Vigilance officers in the outpost while demanding and accepting the bribe from one Balaram Nayak of B Nuagaon for sending his case diary to court in connection with a Kodala PS case of this year. The bribe money was recovered from their possession.
