Tension surfaced in Badampahad after a 45-year-old woman died while working in a mining area in Suleipat hill in Mayurbhanj on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Sugi Majhi. Her fellow villagers demanded Rs10 lakh compensation from the company. In yet another accident, protestors stopped vehicular traffic on road connecting Bisoi and Tata Nagar for about four hours following death of a cyclist. The deceased identified as Naran Majhi was hit by a Pick-up van from rear. He did on the spot.
