At least two persons were killed and 15 others injured as a bus overturned after hitting a motorcycle on NH-49 near Bombay Chhak under then Jharpokharia police limits in Mayurbhanj district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Satyaban Dera (37) of Rairangpur, who was travelling by the two-wheeler, and the helper of the bus. The speeding bus turned turtle after running over the motorcycle killing Dera on the spot. The bus helper sustained grievous injuries on his leg and died after the vehicle overturned. The injured passengers were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital. The condition of one of them was stated to be critical, hospital sources said.
