Two persons died and more than ten others sustained injuries in a group clash that broke out over a land dispute at Dimirisena village under the Brahmagiri police station in Puri district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Surendra Bhoi and Kalia Bhoi. The injured have been admitted to Rebana Nuagaon Community Health Centre (CHC).
According to reports, the clash erupted between two families over a land dispute related to laying of a water pipeline.
Cops have detained five persons in this connection for questioning while police force have been deployed in the village to avoid any further untoward incident.
