Two persons of Panchadapadar village in Koraput district were detained by the police in connection with the murder of a 40-year-old man of the same village.
According to the police sources, Nanda Saunta was mercilessly beaten by Radhab Saunta on February 17 evening. Nanda was shifted to a Public Health Centre (PHC) at Podagada in a critical condition by the family members.
The doctor after examining him claimed that he had a little chance to survive and therefore asked his family to take him home back.Nanda succumbed to his injuries at his home on Thursday. Thereafter, his relatives lodged an FIR with the local police on the basis of which the latter registered a case under Section 302 of the IPC.Police detained two relatives of the accused in connection with the case. However, they failed to nab prime accused Radhab who is at large.
