The two-day Ganjam District Youth Festival, 2018 organised by the Sports and Youth Services Department and held at the Brahmapur Stadium concluded recently.
On the first day, Brahmapur MP Siddhanta Mahapatra, Brahmapur MLA Dr Ramesh Chandra Chayu Patnaik, Ganjam Athletic Association working president Dr NC Padhy, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, ZP Chairman Subash Behera and Brahmapur Develeopment Authority (BDA) Chairman Subash Moharana attended as guests.
On the occasion, dancer Radhashyam Tarai, singer Ramesh Patro and Odissi Sangeet Parishad member Nupur were felicitated for their contributions by the guests.
On the concluding day, former Union Minister Chandra Sekhar Sahu, BJD leader Bikram Panda, senior lawyer Prafulla Jagannath Padhy, former SBI officer Prafulla Patnaik, Kedar Chaudhury, District Sports Officer Prasant Kumar Sahu, DEO Sanatan Panda and District Culture Officer Sukru Swain attended as guests.
The guests felicitated the winners of 15 different competitions like folk music, folk dance, flute playing, Hindustani Vocal, tabla, Karnataki Vocal, harmonium, guitar, Bharatanatyam, Mrudanga, solo play and others.
Sachindranath Majhi, Kajol Sahu, Satish Prasad Nayak, Ajit Kumar Pandit and Kailash Behera coordinated the programme.
