Two brothers, including a minor, drowned in the river Kharasrota near Chintapalli village under the Jajpur Sadar police station on Thursday while taking bath.
The sibblings drowned after accidentally slipping into the deep river. The deceased were identified as Dibakar Chanda (18) and his younger brother Dinabandhu Chand (15). Dibakar was reading Plus Two Arts in a college and Dinabandhu was reading in Class-X in the village school.
Their father Kanhu Charan Chand and some villagers fished out their bodies. Police seized the bodies and sent them to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy, said Jajpur Additional Superintendent of Police Narayan Barik.
