Two minor boys met their watery grave while taking bath in a canal in Bari block of Jajpur district on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Aditya Barik (13) and Brahmananda Barik (13) of Sahupada village, both students of Class-IX of the Pushpagiri High School.
According to reports, the two had gone to the nearby canal along with their three friends to take bath at around 11.30 am. Aditya and Brahmananda got swept away with the water flow and drowned.
Their friends informed locals about the incident. Later, Fire Services personnel reached the spot and recovered the bodies from the canal. The bodies were sent to the Ramachandrapur Community Health Centre for postmortem.
