Former Ministers Kalpataru Das and Sarojini Hembram took oath as BJD Rajya Sabha members in New Delhi on Tuesday. Both of them took oath in Odia language.
Sources in the Congress said party leader Ranjib Biswal would take oath as a Rajya Sabha member on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned that out of the four Rajya Sabha seats from Odisha, three BJD leaders Kalpataru Das, Sarojini Hembrum and AU Singh Deo and Ranjib Biwal of the Congress were elected to the Upper House of Parliament recently.
Singh Deo, however, had to give up his Rajya Sabha seat to contest the Assembly elections. The election for the vacant seat would be held later this year.
