Two bank loot attempts in 3 months rock K'pada

It seems that looters are now zeroing on financial institutions in Kendrapada district, which has witnessed a couple of failed bank loot incidents in last three months. In the fresh last case, some miscreants late on Sunday night made an attempt to commit dacoity at Hatina-based Bank of Baroda under Rajnagar police limits but failed.

“The dacoits entered the bank by cutting the gate lock. Though the miscreants made an attempt to loot money from the bank locker but they failed and decamped with a monitor and cutting the CCTV cable wire,” said Rajnagar police station IIC NC Swain.

Meanwhile, basing on a report Bank Manager Ranjit Chaurasia the Rajnagar police started investigation to nab the miscreants. Notably on January 30 five to six miscreants though had managed to enter the Dandisahi Syndicate Bank but failed to break open the bank locker. later they took away two computers.

It may be noted that though more than 24 days have been elapsed into Dandisahi Syndicate Bank loot attempt the Pattamundai police is still groping in dark to nab the accused despite the fact that police have collected CCTV footage from the bank.
