Two academicians from the State have been awarded with the prestigious Hind Rattan award at the 34th International Congress of NRIs, organised by the NRI Welfare Society of India in New Delhi on January 25.Dr Sanjay Kumar Satapathy, Associate Professor of Commerce and Dean of the Ravenshaw University’s Students’ Welfare (DSW) was felicitated for his outstanding services, achievements and contributions in various fields.
Similarly, Senior Economics lecturer Dr Pritish Kumar Sahu at the Multimedia University, Malaysia was awarded for his outstanding service and contribution keeping the ‘Flag of India High’.The award was presented by lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar in the presence of former Cabinet Minister Oscar Fernandez, former Election Commissioner GVG Krishnamurty, Tamil Nadu Governor and former Union Minister BN Singh.The award is given to distinguished NRIs, who have made exceptional contributions to the society by their achievements in their respective fields.
