Keeping in view the Covid-19 situation, the State Government offices in twin city would work with half of their strength of employees this month.
Besides, the Government ordered closure of its offices across the State on Saturdays.
The General Administration and Public Grievance Department has asked all departments and subordinate offices in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to function with 50% strength of employees (including Group A officers) during September and ensure that the office works do not suffer.
However, the essential offices/services such as SRC and OSDMA offices, police, fire services, health services, municipal services shall function in full strength, the order said.
The departments/ heads of offices in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack have been asked to decide the manner of selection of employees who would attend office.
All precautionary measures to contain spread of Covid-19 shall be strictly followed by the departments and the employees. In case of detection of any Covid case among the employees, the concerned office would follow the protocol, the order stated.
The officers/staffs, who have been provided with VPN, shall work from home when not assigned roster duty. They must be available to attend any office work of urgent nature at short notice and be available on telephone at all times, it was further ordered.
Administrative departments have been asked to decide about the scale of operations in subordinate and field offices.
