The Commissionerate Police on Monday arrested TV serial actress Nitushree Swain and her interior designer boyfriend Biswajit Mallick on charges of culpable homicide in the Ritesh Choudhary murder case. The accused were forwarded to a local court here.
After interrogating Nitushree and Biswajit, the Mancheswar police arrested them in connection with the death of 20-year old Ritesh, who was found dead in front of his landlady’s house at GGP Colony here on October 16.
Ritesh’s parents, who live in Phulbani, had filed an FIR in this regard. Initially, Ritesh’s landlady, with whom he was staying as a paying guest, had said that he died after falling off the roof of the building. The police after investigating into the case converted it to a case of culpable homicide.
After investigation, the police found that the two accused persons were present at the spot when the incident happened. Though the actual reason is yet to be known, the police suspect that Ritesh’s death was the result of a love triangle.
