A tusker strayed into a busy locality in the heart of Baripada town, district headquarters of Mayurbhanj district, on Tuesday morning and roamed around the town till it was chased away.The tusker is suspected to have strayed into the town after crossing the Budhabalang river. “I first saw its tusks. Those were huge. I was scared and watched it from its hind but luckily it left the place without harming me,” said an eyewitness. Residents of the town heaved a sigh of relief after the forest department officials succeeded in driving the tusker out of town.
