Sir,
The TTD Kalyana Mandapam and E-Darshan counter at Bhubaneswar are struggling for survival as the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is said to be least interested in creating minimum facilities. In order to perform marriages at a reasonable cost, the TTD lets out its Kalyana Mandapam to people. As there are no minimum amenities for performing marriages, people are resorting to hiring private Kalyana Mandapas bearing huge financial burden.
The purpose of constructing the TTD Kalyana Mandapam at Bhubaneswar is defeated. The facilities are not up to the requirement to conduct marriages in a grand manner. There are no minimum facilities in the rooms. Water shortage is another persistent problem. By upgrading all the facilities including all rooms, the TTD should create awareness among the organisers of marriages to avail its Kalyana Mandap which would certainly be helpful in saving huge funds for them.
An average private Kalyana Mandap’s hire charge is above Rs 50,000 per day whereas the TTD offers its Kalyana Mandapam for a fraction of that price. Besides this the E-Darshan counter at the TTD has stopped issuing seva, accommodation tickets since February 2018, forcing devotees to cough more money to avail these facilities elsewhere. Kind attention of the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh Governments is drawn to this problem with a request for early solution
