The Barbil police seized a 16 wheeler truck loaded with stolen iron ore lump and arrested two accused and forwarded them to the court on Friday. Police sources revealed that while some checking was going on at Tonto on the outskirts of Barbil towards Rourkela, the police suspected the activities of a truck No.
WB/ 37 D/ 0041 and asked the driver to show the documents of materials loaded. After verification, it was found that the documents were forged ones. Then the police seized the truck. After further interrogations, it was known that the accused had loaded the iron ore from a crusher situated at Koira and was proceeding towards Jharkhand. The arrestees were Pramod Kumar Yadav (25), the driver who is a native of Bihar and Md Yushuf, a local of Barbil. Further inquiry was on, said police.
