Trinamool wants live telecast of Delhi meet

Published on:

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) Odisha unit on Friday demanded that electronic media be allowed to telecast the entire discussion at the proposed tripartite meet on the Mahanadi water sharing dispute between Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his Chhattisgarh counterpart Raman Singh and Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti to be held in New Delhi on Saturday.

"The State Government has failed to prove its efficiency before the Centre during the last 16 years. The BJD remained away from the all-party meeting convened by leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Narasingha Mishra for a unanimous decision on the Mahanadi issue. If electronic media live-telecast the entire discussion at the tripartite meeting, people can know how our Chief Minister presented Odisha's stand and whether he succeeded or not in this task," said party's State president Aryakumar Jnanendra in a statement.
