Senior leaders cutting across the party lines paid tributes to former Umarkote MlA Dharmu Gond at Umarkote, who passed away at a Vishakhapatnam-based hospital on Tuesday.
IT Minster Ramesh Majhi, MlAs Karendra Majhi, Subash Gond, Gobardhan Majhi, Pradipta Naik, BJP’s state general secretary Prasanna Kumar Mishra, former Chhattisgarh Minister lata Usendi and former MP Parshuram Majhi attended Gond’s last rights conducted at Umarkote.
Gond was rushed to the Seven Hills Hospital on Monday following a stroke, family sources said. Gond won Umarkote Assembly seat in 2009 on a BJP ticket. He was also the general secretary of the BJP State unit.
