As per an earlier schedule, the Khandadhar Suraksha Samavesh was held at Budabhuin in the Bonai region on Thursday.
At a huge gathering of the tribals, speakers like lokshakti Abhiyan president Prafulla Samantara, Posco Pratirodh Sangram Samiti leader Abhay Sahoo, Western Odisha farmer leader lingaraj Pradhan, Talsara MlA Prafulla Majhi and CPI(M) district secretary vowed that the conspiracy of both the State and Union Governments would not be tolerated so far as the Khandadhar issue is concerned.

They said the Supreme Court has set guidelines for protection of the natural resources of the Khandadhar hills which the Government must follow before allowing any mining lease.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Khandadhar Suraksha Sangram Samiti president
Bilua Naik.
Earlier, the tribals and guests took oath with water from the Khandadhar canal not to allow Posco to undertake mining activities in Khandadhar. Then, the tribals with their traditional weapons went on a procession to the meeting spot.
