Take revenge for ultras killing co-villager

In a daring offensive, angry tribal people lynched three Maoists at Kroukonda village along the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border on Sunday night. According to reports, the violent mob action was resorted to avenge the death of a fellow villager at the hands of the Red rebels.

Maoists had conducted a Praja Court at Korukonda under the Annavaram police station on the Andhra side at round 6 pm on Sunday where they branded a civilian, Gemini Sanjeeva Rao, as a police informer and shot  him dead.

Angered over the brutal killing of an innocent person of their village, the mob launched a concerted attack on the Maoists and killed three of them.

The deceased ultras were identified as Ganapathy, Ganeswar Rao and a woman cadre, Sharada. All of them belonged to the Korukonda area committee of the outlawed CPI(Maoist). One of them was an area commander, the reports said. There were also reports that eight to 10 Maoists were injured in the mob attack.
