A tribal woman was allegedly gang-raped at Kuamada village under Banki area in Cuttack district on Sunday. She was rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack in critical condition.
According to reports, the woman was assaulted sexually by three persons of her nearby village. The culprits have liquor business in the area, said sources. “After the victim regains her sense, the whole thing will come out,” said police sources. Meanwhile, the local police have launched a probe into the case. It may be noted that recently, a girl was gang-raped in Athagarh area by four men.
