A property dispute turned into a serious matter as a man was critically injured after he was shot at with bow and arrow in the tribals-dominated Malkangiri district on Sunday.
A tribal family had the dispute since quite some time. However, the clash turned ugly when Era Madkami, uncle of Muka Madkami, attacked the latter with bow and arrow.
While an arrow pierced Muka’s abdomen from left, another brushed his body. The incident took place at Tentuliguda village under the Malkangiri police station.
Muka was rushed to th District Headquarters Hospital here, where he is undergoing treatment. The arrow was yet to be removed. Muka would be operated upon to remove the foreign object.
Medical investigations and X-Ray have been conducted on him. The extent of injury to internal organs could be known after surgery, a source said.
Meanwhile, Muka’s accused uncle is absconding after the incident. local police are investigating into the incident. A manhunt has
been launched to nab the accused.
