A small village in Ganjam district woke up to a gory incident as a tribal leader was found dead with his throat slit on Monday morning.
Tribal leader and Ganjam district president of the loksangram Manch Edungu Gamango was found dead with his throat slit at Kumarabandha village under the Badagada police limits.
While the reason behind the gruesome killing is yet to be ascertained, locals alleged that Gamango was murdered over past animosity with some people.
Gamango’s body was found in a pool of blood on the outskirts of the village.
Meanwhile, police reached the spot and began an investigation into the incident.
