Members of the Protection for Democratic Human Rights of India (PDHRI) on Sunday planted ayurvedic trees along Kargil Road here on the occasion of the Kargil Vijay Diwas on Sunday.
“The day commemorates the success of the Operation Vijay launched by Indian Army to drive back Pakistani intruders from the Kargil-Drass sector in 1999. We pay rich tributes to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the mother land. We planted the trees to remember their incomparable sacrifices,” said PDHRI central secretary Lingaraj Sahoo.
