Train services on Howrah- Bhubaneswar route returned to normal on Thursday after about 12 hours of disruption as the Puri-Durg Express had collided with a goods train at Kalajhari near Mancheswar between the Patia and Barang railway stations on Wednesday evening.
Due to the accident, around three bogies of the stationary goods train had derailed when the passenger train hit it from its behind on the same track. As many as 10 persons, including driver of the Puri-Durg Express, were injured seriously.
A rescue team and the Commissonerate Police transferred the injured passengers to hospitals here.
